Ask Violet….How do I know if i need underwired bras?

The short answer is, it’s totally up to you.

In addition to providing additional support, underwire bras often provide lift, separate, and shape the breasts, therefore enhancing the appearance of the breasts under clothing.

Some women experience discomfort from the pressure of the metal wires in the bras that makes them impossible to wear.

Larger breasts are heavier and require additional support. Underwire bras provide this support. This can help to eliminate fatigue over the course of the day. Typically, breasts that are a cup size C or larger benefit from the support provided by an underwire.

A-cup bras do not need underwire because the additional support is not needed, but many women with smaller boobs still wear underwired bras because of the uplift and shaping they create.

The most common reason women choose wire free bras is comfort. They do provide an average amount of support for all types of breasts. They can also last longer and are easier to care for. Wire free bras are also more flexible which makes them more comfortable for pregnant and breastfeeding women who have a tendency to have sensitive and sore breasts. They are also ideal for women recovering from breast surgery.

Ask Violet…What exactly is a balcony bra?

Suite B Lovebird Polka dot Bra Violet's KnickersThe balcony bra is wider set and the bra straps are further apart. The cups are typically  half or three-quarter boob coverage.

This is ideal if you want to wear an open,  square or low cut neckline.

It lifts the top half of your breasts, not fully covering them and a rounded cleavage giving you a sexy look.

This style is particularly suited to women with lower set breasts or broader shoulders.

Not suitable for women with narrow or sloping shoulders

I adore these beautiful images as inspiration for the grand day, so much so they reminded me of,  yes you know, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady.

Felice, meaning ‘happy’ – is used in our family as the second name for girls.
I love the way it has the same meaning in several languages.

Seeing a thought through, transforming all the way from being just a mere vision to finally materializing as this gorgeous item in a chic shop window.

Anyone whowants a little help to ‘shine’.

Felice items make you feel special and desirable, they have the power to turn a girl into a goddess.

I love working with high quality materials, admire ‘old school’ craftsmanship and thoughtfulness being put into an item – which can be hard to find in the market space of today.

On a fashion level, amongst others, I really admire the works of Elie Saab.

I love to travel and spend time with my family… I have two wonderful children who keep me on my toes.

An awful lot of things! Felice benefits from the quality and excellent craftsmanship of the German studios our items emerge from. And I guess our stockists appreciate our German punctuality…

This must have been living on a tiny little island of the coast of Nicaragua – cooking a top a beach bonfire and washing up the plates in sea by the light of the moon. However I also love my more civilized time outs to places like Ibiza or the Maldives, well equipped with a suitcase full of Felice resort wear.
