Ask Violet….Why is there a gap between my bra and my body?

Why is there a gap between my bra and my body?

Suite B/ Blush Sweet Liberty Bra and Knickers at Violet’s Knickers

Why is there a gap between my bra and my body?

If the center panel of the bra is not resting on your sternum, this could be a sign that your cup size is too small.

It could also mean that the cup size is too big.

If the underwires are pointing outward and away from your body, this could be a sign that your cup size could be too big.

How far apart your breasts are from each other can affect how your center panel rests on your sternum.

Try changing the cup size or try a different shape to find the right style for you.

Sometimes It’s all trial and error….

Minimizer bra styles tend not to rest against the breastbone.

Ask Violet….How do I know if i need underwired bras?

Ludique

The short answer is, it’s totally up to you.

In addition to providing additional support, underwire bras often provide lift, separate, and shape the breasts, therefore enhancing the appearance of the breasts under clothing.

Some women experience discomfort from the pressure of the metal wires in the bras that makes them impossible to wear.

Larger breasts are heavier and require additional support. Underwire bras provide this support. This can help to eliminate fatigue over the course of the day. Typically, breasts that are a cup size C or larger benefit from the support provided by an underwire.

A-cup bras do not need underwire because the additional support is not needed, but many women with smaller boobs still wear underwired bras because of the uplift and shaping they create.

The most common reason women choose wire free bras is comfort. They do provide an average amount of support for all types of breasts. They can also last longer and are easier to care for. Wire free bras are also more flexible which makes them more comfortable for pregnant and breastfeeding women who have a tendency to have sensitive and sore breasts. They are also ideal for women recovering from breast surgery.

Ask Violet…What exactly is a balcony bra?

Suite B Lovebird Polka dot Bra Violet's KnickersThe balcony bra is wider set and the bra straps are further apart. The cups are typically  half or three-quarter boob coverage.

This is ideal if you want to wear an open,  square or low cut neckline.

It lifts the top half of your breasts, not fully covering them and a rounded cleavage giving you a sexy look.

This style is particularly suited to women with lower set breasts or broader shoulders.

Not suitable for women with narrow or sloping shoulders
